TrustLaw Training: Social Enterprise and Impact Investing

Dates: 27-28 October | 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Course Description: A course designed to provide practical training for lawyers on two key areas, social enterprise and impact investing, helping lawyers understand the important issues that affect the different agents in the sector and the role they can play in shaping it. At the end of this training, participants should be able to:

  • Advise on the appropriate business structure for different social enterprises
  • Recognise the key legal issues facing social entrepreneurs to help ensure agreements and commercial documentation reflect the financial and social realities of this rapidly growing sector
  • Have a clear understanding of some of the different tools used to inject capital into socially focused businesses, including social impact bonds, crowdfunding and impact investment funds
  • Understand how to negotiate the competing interests of investors, social enterprises and social finance intermediaries

UNDP: Consultant for Human Rights and Health of LGBTI and other key populations in Eastern Europe and Central Asia

In support of this mission, UNDP has fostered the development of the Eurasian Coalition on Male Health – a regional umbrella NGO for MSM in the context of rights and health, and has carried out numerous other capacity development initiatives. UNDP now seeks an international consultant to support the work of the Health and Development Team at the Istanbul Regional Hub on matters related to human rights and health of key populations, particularly LGBTI.
