PILnet Fellows

20 June 2017

In 2017, PILnet redesigned its Fellowship Program to offer a unique experiential learning opportunity for young public interest lawyers (in particular, recent graduates of academic programs, including LL.M. and J.D. programs), who wish to innovate creative tools and strategies for solving social justice challenges.

PILnet’s new Fellowship program engages public and private sector lawyers in a practical effort to build public interest law tools capable of addressing the pressing problems of the globalized world. The Fellowship program primarily consists of experiential learning in developing new lawyering techniques with the support of PILnet’s corporate law firm (and other) partners, complemented by workshops and classroom-style trainings carried out by leading legal academics and private sector and public interest practitioners. During the one year program the Fellows will work in residence at PILnet’s New York office alongside PILnet’s senior legal staff and collaborate with staff in Brussels, Budapest, Moscow, Beijing, and Hong Kong.

PILnet has transformed the lives and careers of over 140 public interest lawyers from 40 countries through its Fellowship Program. We are excited about the redesigned program and look forward to sharing the amazing work all of our Fellows are doing around the world.
