Awmaima Amrayaf is a Pro Bono Legal Officer at DLA Piper based in the firm's London office. She has a PhD in Law from the University of Leeds and has worked in academia and the legal sector in the UK. Awmaima is from a refugee background and prior to joining DLA Piper she worked for over 15 years in both academia and for the government in her country-of-origin Libya where she is recognised as a human rights activist. Awmaima`s current role at DLA Piper focuses on pro bono and legal education programmes for refugees and asylum seekers and supporting internal and external thought-leadership.
