Danny Kan is currently Chief Counsel, Listing & Compliance cum Joint Company Secretary of Ping An Group. He oversees major corporate and capital market transactions, as well as corporate governance and on-going compliance matters of Ping An Group. He also supports various innovative LegalTech and RegTech initiatives.Before joining Ping An Group, Danny was Counsel at Linklaters where he advised on a broad range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on matters relating to the Hong Kong Listing Rules and the Hong Kong Takeovers Code. He was also trained in software engineering and finance.

Danny is a member of the Company Law Committee under the Law Society of Hong Kong, and Honorary Fellow of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law. He is also affiliated with the Institute of Big Data Governance, the FinTech Association Hong Kong and the Association of Corporate Counsel, actively contributing to the development of company law, financial regulations and industry standards for data use in our fast-changing economy.

Danny is a fervent support of student activities. He has been a mentor for the Mentorship Programme organized by the Law Society of Hong Kong, and an adjudicator for the HKFYG Standard Chartered Hong Kong English Public Speaking Contest.
