Professor Dominique Hinson joined the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law faculty as the Associate Director of Trial Advocacy and an Associate Professor of Law, Legal Practice in July 2024. Professor Hinson teaches courses in McGeorge’s award-winning Trial Advocacy program and supervises top-ranked competition teams. Before joining the McGeorge faculty, Professor Hinson was the Director of Appellate Advocacy and an adjunct professor at South Texas College of Law Houston. During her time at South Texas, Professor Hinson taught courses in persuasive advocacy, appellate advocacy, and trial advocacy courses, and dedicated ten years as an advocacy coach. Professor Hinson is passionate about fostering advocacy skills in both law students and practicing attorneys. She contributes as a faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA), where she teaches trial and depositions skills training programs across the country.
