Ogorchuwku Ozor is a Forced Displacement Intern with a background in global health, advocacy, project management and compliance. Prior to joining the team, she worked as a Project Manager at Jasper Women’s Health, where she coordinated projects across the UK focused on tackling period poverty. Her work included organising educational panels, workshops and lessons, as well as supporting asylum seeker shelters and homeless centres with essential resources. Ogor is an award-winning spoken word poet who uses poetry, storytelling and their voice as tools for advocacy and social change. Through spoken word performances and workshops, Ogor creates opportunities to explore social issues, amplify underrepresented voices and encourage people to engage with questions of justice, inequality and change. Ogor holds a BSc in Global Health and Social Medicine and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Violence, Conflict and Development at SOAS University of London. She also has experience in compliance and is building a career in law at Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer. Ogor is particularly interested in how wartime and structural violence affect communities, and the role of law, advocacy and storytelling in promoting good, accountable and just governance.
