Wendy Atrokhov leads Latham & Watkins’ strategy for promoting, preserving, and creating opportunities to advance the firm’s core values and inclusive, supportive culture. To that end, Wendy oversees Global Citizenship at Latham, which includes the firm’s leading pro bono, inclusion, community engagement, environmental and sustainability programs. Prior to her current role, Wendy served for more than a decade as the firm’s Public Service Counsel, Director of Global Pro Bono. Under her leadership, Latham’s pro bono program launched a range of new initiatives and saw significant growth — becoming one of the largest in the world — with more than 2.1 million hours contributed by lawyers across the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In that time, the practice also expanded to cover nearly every area of public interest law — from supporting low-income individuals and families, underserved communities, and criminal justice reform efforts to assisting nonprofit and charitable organizations, low-income entrepreneurs, and veterans. Wendy serves on the Lawyers’ Committee of the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, the TrustLaw Pro Bono Council, and the Board of Directors of the Washington Council of Lawyers. She also serves as the president of the Board of Directors of LathamCares, which offers grants and assistance to those in the Latham community affected by personal hardship or crisis. Wendy joined Latham in 1999 as an associate in the Washington, D.C. office. From 2002 to 2010, she practiced corporate finance law in Latham’s Moscow office and served on the firm’s Pro Bono Committee.
