Launched in 2020, the Asia Regional Pro Bono Roundtable represents years of collaborative effort promoting pro bono legal support in the region. These quarterly, online meetings aim to enhance access to justice and strengthen the rule of law through effective pro bono initiatives. Each roundtable explores themes relevant to the Asian context, with sharing both from lawyers as well as civil society organisations.
The Asia Regional Pro Bono Roundtable is open to a diverse array of participants, including legal professionals, NGOs, academic institutions, and government agencies. We welcome community leaders and corporate entities interested in advancing pro bono initiatives and enhancing access to justice. If you are passionate about promoting access to justice in the Asia region, we encourage you to join our collaborative efforts.
The roundtables are organised by a Consortium of diverse groups dedicated to advancing pro bono work in both Asia and globally, as listed below. Secretariat duties rotate among Consortium members, with PILnet taking on this role for 2025.
