Michael P. Wong’s practice focuses on alternative investment funds, particularly on the formation and structuring of private equity, hedge and digital asset funds. In addition, Mr. Wong regularly advises on secondaries, co-investment arrangements and carried interest schemes. Louis, Chief Executive Officer of Dialogue In The Dark (HK) Foundation, joined Dialogue In The Dark (HK) Foundation in 2018 as iCorp Solution Director and Head of Business Development and Program Management respectively, leading the team promoting Inclusive Workplace and supporting mainstream PoDs* employment. With his more than 10 years of Non-Government Organization experience, much of which has been within the mission of inclusive contexts, Louis has been leading to promote social inclusion, bringing creativity and new inspiration to the Foundation.
Louis has over 20 years of people management experience in Hong Kong and Asia region. Prior to joining Dialogue in the Dark, Louis conducted different sales development and management workshops for multinational enterprises. He also specializes in providing professional parenting courses and consultation services to schools and NGOs.

Louis obtained Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Social Science in Counselling in the University of Hong Kong. He is the Founder of the Hong Kong Lacrosse Association and as a Head Coach in 2006 and 2010 World Championships.

Jason’s practice focuses on non-contentious financial regulatory advice, investment fund and virtual assets.

Jason regularly advises on a diverse range of ongoing compliance, legal and regulatory matters related to the financial services industry in Hong Kong, including regulated activities, cross-border fund and services activities and marketing, data protection, professional investor regime, disclosure of interests and anti-money laundering (AML). He also has experience assisting financial institutions on licensing applications with the Hong Kong Securities and Future Commission (SFC).

Jason also advises on a wide range of private fund formation transactions, including hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, crypto funds and tokenized funds. He also has experience in advising clients on the establishment, authorization applications and ongoing compliance obligations of SFC-authorised retail funds and ETFs.

Jason is one of the few lawyers in Hong Kong who has practical experience advising on the rapidly evolving regulatory landscape for participants in the virtual asset ecosystem and a variety of virtual asset projects. He assisted a fund manager in securing one of the first regulatory approvals from the SFC to manage 100% virtual asset portfolios, as well as establishing cryptocurrency funds and tokenized funds.

Before joining Howse Williams, Jason worked at the funds and financial regulatory teams of various international law firms. He trained at Clifford Chance Hong Kong.

Martina is a social innovation consultant and partnerships builder who connects business and community to create shared value in new ways. In 2022, she convened OPTicM!SM, the charity art sale for Covid relief, as an experiment to showcase diverse citizen-photographers and spread optimism in HK. 

She previously led Shared Value Initiative Hong Kong’s corporate member services and social impact partnerships, across themes including mental health, ageing society, youth development and climate change. Her background is in public relations and sustainable business, with award-winning campaigns for corporate, non-profit and government clients across Asia and the U.S. Martina is a global citizen who has lived in Bangkok, HK, St. Louis, London and NYC.
