Since 2019, PILnet, together with law firms and nonprofit organizations, has been organizing the annual European Pro Bono Week. Launched in 2024, Eurasia Pro Bono Week builds on this experience with a program adapted to reflect the specific needs and context of the Eurasia region.

Building Sustainable Partnerships: How Law Firms, Bar Associations, NGOs, and Universities Drive Cross-Border Justice in Eurasia
This session explores the evolving pro bono landscape in Eurasia, highlighting how Bar associations, law firms, universities, and NGOs collaborate to bridge the justice gap. Participants will examine strategies for building sustainable partnerships and handling cross-border cases, supported by real-world examples of successful collaborations that provide effective legal protection for vulnerable groups across the region. This meeting will be in bilingual English/Russian

Pro Bono for Civil Society: Connecting CSOs and Law Firms in Eurasia
This session provides a practical roadmap for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Eurasia to access high-quality legal support through pro bono initiatives. We will showcase successful partnership models and explore the diverse types of legal assistance available—from day-to-day corporate advice to strategic litigation. Through the perspective of law firms, CSOs will learn how to build effective collaborations and see concrete examples of how pro bono can strengthen their organizational impact. This meeting will be conducted in Russian.

Ensuring Organizational Continuity: Legal Support for CSOs in Relocation
This closed-door session focuses on the legal and operational challenges faced by CSOs navigating relocation and cross-border transitions. In a secure environment, participants and pro bono experts will discuss practical legal solutions to ensure the continuity of civil society work in the region.
