Jan Herrmann advises national and international companies in financial regulatory law.His areas of expertise include the structuring of alternative investments such as closed-end investment funds, profit participation rights, and crowdfunding as well as payment transaction regulatory law.

Jan Herrmann supports clients in financial regulatory law, e.g. in BaFin proceedings. He advises in particular on the structuring of closed-end investment funds for fund managers, with a focus on ESG-related (impact) funds. After training and working as a banker with one of Germany’s largest private banks, Jan Herrmann studied law in Cologne. Since January 2018 Jan Herrmann works as a lawyer for Osborne Clarke in Cologne. He regularly publishes articles and speaks at events on financial regulatory topics. Michael Kungurov advises companies on all issues regarding national and international tax law.

His focus is on the taxation of Real Estate as well as Crypto Tokens. His clients include (internationally) operating businesses as well as non-profit organizations.

Michael studied law at the University of Trier. In both state examinations he focused on tax law. He started his career as an associate at a tax law boutique located in Cologne. In September 2022 Michael joined Osborne Clarke in the Cologne office.

Having joined the firm in 2013, Mario Gras is regarded as a tech-savvy advisor in the launching of digital services and platforms, with a strong expertise in a wide range of related areas such as data protection, consumer protection, or financial regulatory matters. Always adopting a very business-oriented approach, Mario finds the right legal fit amidst the ever-changing digital economy that his clients navigate. He has been involved in the launch and daily advice of Fintech and Insurtech products into the Spanish market assisting with any regulatory and legal requirements (PSD, EMD, AML, MiFID, IDD). Also, he has assisted clients with their registration as VASP with the Bank of Spain. His academic training on European Union and Competition law enables him to provide thorough advice in any digital matter. He is a regular lecturer at law schools and a member of the Madrid bar

Berta specializes in Spanish tax law. She provides legal advice on tax matters to national and cross-border companies, groups of companies and private clients.

 Her practice covers direct and indirect taxation. She guides her clients through corporate and family tax planning projects, as well as international group restructuring. She also advises on tax audit disputes and proceedings before the Spanish authorities.

Anka Langedijk is a Senior Associate in the Osborne Clarke Financial Regulatory Practice.

She advises on a wide range of regulatory matters relevant to Dutch and international financial institutions including crypto service providers, banks and investment firms. Anka also assists in license applications, registrations and notifications with the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets and the Dutch Central Bank. In the past years, Anka has successfully managed and coordinated several VASP registrations in the Netherlands and in other EEA jurisdictions.

Anka joined Osborne Clarke in 2021. She started her career as legal counsel at a trading venue and broker and has worked in the financial regulatory practice of several international and national law firms.

Anka studied at the University of Amsterdam and various foreign universities, such as the University of Vienna and Ghent University. Anka holds master’s degrees in Commercial Law (LLM), Trade and Investment Law (LLM) and Law and Economics (MA).

From 2015 to 2020, Anka was a board member of networking organization Young Women in Financial Services.

Aram is an Associate in the tax team of Osborne Clarke Amsterdam.

With a strong focus on international tax structuring, tax litigation, and real estate and M&A transactions, Aram provides advice on the tax aspects of cross-border investments, corporate restructurings, and the resolution of international (double) tax issues for private individuals and multinational companies. Aram has worked with listed funds, family-owned businesses, and tech companies, among others.

In 2018, Aram obtained his master’s degree in International and European tax law, along with two master’s degrees in Dutch Private Law from the University of Amsterdam. In 2023, Aram completed both the Dutch lawyer’s and Dutch tax adviser’s programs.

Aram is a member of the Amsterdam Bar Association and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers.

Cees is an Associate Director in the Tax team in Osborne Clarke’s Amsterdam office.

He is an all-round tax specialist with extensive national and international experience and a focus on real estate taxation and VAT. Cees advises on the tax aspects of real estate transactions, (regulated) funds, restructurings, mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions.

Prior to joining Osborne Clarke, Cees was a senior associate at Stibbe. Cees has been in the international tax advisory practice for 10 years and has worked with listed (real estate) funds, large hotel chains, energy companies and tech companies, among others.

Cees is a member of the Amsterdam Bar Association and the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers. He has registered the following main (and sub) areas of law in the Register of Legal Practice of the Dutch Bar Association:

On the basis of this registration, he is obliged to obtain ten training points per calendar year in accordance with the standards of the Dutch Bar Association. In addition, he is required to obtain 20 training points per calendar year in the field of tax law according to the standards of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers.
