PILnet, Terre de hommes, and other partners in the CLEAR-Rights project will host an by invitation only professional event in Belgium to share experiences about reinforcing legal aid systems and pro bono legal assistance for children suspected or accused of crimes, in collaboration with European networks.
Presenters will engage policymakers and practitioners in discussions on the importance of adequate legal assistance for children in conflict with the law and disseminate the learnings, results and promising practices which arose from the CLEAR-Rights project in Belgium, France, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Romania.
