Lawyers in the UK and Europe: Join PILnet, EU-COMAR, UNHCR, TrustLaw, Herbert Smith Freehills, Pro Publico, and Law Works virtually for the Refugee Rights Pro Bono Pitching Roundtable and learn about opportunities to provide pro bono legal support to organizations working with or led by refugees, climate displaced, stateless or other displaced communities (‘refugee rights organizations’).
There will be two roundtable due to the amount of pro bono opportunities:
- Thursday, October 10 (UK and Ireland) – 2.00 – 3.30 PM GMT / 3.00 – 4.30 PM CET
- Monday, October 14 (Europe) – 2.00 – 3.30 PM GMT / 3.00 – 4.30 PM CET
The Roundtable is a platform for refugee rights organizations to pitch their pro bono project ideas to the legal community. The organizations will have 3-5 minutes to pitch their legal needs and pro bono project ideas, with a space for dialogue after the pitches. A catalogue of projects and a pitching agenda will be shared with all registered participants ahead of the Roundtable and PILnet will provide support in matching the projects and building the new pro bono partnerships.
