Thank you for joining our U.S. Refugee Rights Pro Bono Workshop on September 4 at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT, a virtual event co-organized by PILnet, Orrick, HIAS, TrustLaw and Global Refugee Forum Legal Community Pledge partners. The recording from this workshop is located below.
Learn how you can access pro bono to strengthen your organization and/or enhance your programs. The workshop is intended for refugee-led organizations (RLOs) and other NGOs working in the United States with refugees, stateless, or other displaced communities.
This workshop was held in advance of the U.S. Pro Bono Pitching Roundtable taking place in October, where NGOs and Refugee-Led Organizations will be supported to pitch their pro bono projects to law firms and be connected with free legal support to strengthen their organizations and advance their programs.
The workshop aims to:
-
Raise awareness about pro bono support available in the U.S. and internationally;
-
Inspire new pro bono partnerships through successful case studies;
-
Help organizations navigate common challenges when working with law firms; and
-
Support the development and pitching of strong, actionable pro bono project proposals.
