Lawyers in the United States: Join PILnet, Orrick, TrustLaw, and HIAS virtually on October 15 and 22 at 1pm ET for the US Refugee Rights Pro Bono Pitching Roundtables and learn about opportunities to provide pro bono legal support to organizations working with or led by refugees, stateless, and other displaced people.
At these Roundtables, nonprofits will present concrete pro bono project ideas directly to law firms, followed by facilitated interactive discussions between pitching nonprofits and legal professionals present.
These pitching roundtables will be split into two categories:
- Transactional Projects (October 15, 2025, 1:00–2:30 p.m. ET): Legal support for an organization, including contracts, governance and compliance.
- Programmatic Projects (October 22, 2025, 1:00–2:30 p.m. ET): Legal support for an organization’s programs and initiatives, including direct assistance for individual asylum seekers and other immigration applicants.
A catalogue of projects and a pitching agenda will be shared with all registered participants ahead of the Roundtables. PILnet and co-organizers will provide follow-up support to ensure effective matching and to help establish sustainable partnerships.
The Roundtables are open to all legal professionals providing pro bono services, including in-house counsel.
Register: October 15th (Transactional Projects) Register: October 22nd (Programmatic Projects)
These Roundtables are made possible thanks to the generous support of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, whose financial and volunteer contributions enable the provision of essential legal support to nonprofits which might otherwise have limited access.
*Please note pitching RLOs and NGOs can attend by invitation only.
