PILnet and the Pledge Core Group support the coordination, sustainability, and monitoring of the implementation of the Pledge, which includes the development of an integrated global legal community which centers the legal rights, skills, knowledge, and needs of refugees, stateless people, and other forcibly displaced people. Additionally, we develop locally-led coordination efforts in selected focus countries to increase collaboration between different legal stakeholders, and engagement between refugee and legal communities.
The Terms of Reference for the Core Group can be found here. These have been adopted on an interim measure on the understanding that sustained efforts will be made by the Core Group to develop a more formalized and representative structure for the governance, strategy development, coordination, and back bone support for the Pledge ahead of the 2023 Global Refugee Forum.
