The inaugural Hong Kong Pro Bono Week, organized with the collaboration of many partners including PILnet, marked a significant milestone in promoting the voluntary contributions of the legal community for the public good. Beginning with a launch event on November 20, 2023, the week featured a series of insightful and engaging activities aimed at raising awareness and encouraging pro bono work in Hong Kong. These activities included fireside chats, a pro bono roundtable, and a networking event, culminating with a dedicated session for law students and junior lawyers.

We are genuinely thrilled by the success of the inaugural Hong Kong Pro Bono Week. Witnessing the commitment of these young individuals to pro bono work is heartwarming. They are the future of Hong Kong, and their contagious energy bodes well for the community. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizers for orchestrating such an impactful week, and look forward to seeing the momentum continue in the upcoming Hong Kong Pro Bono Week events. Let us all join hands in making a positive impact and uplifting those in need.
