The Hong Kong Pro Bono Roundtable held its first meeting of 2025 on 24 March, generously hosted by DLA Piper.

The discussion centered on Pro Bono in the Arts in Hong Kong, with insightful contributions from representatives of two arts organizations, WMA and Rooftop Institute. They highlighted key challenges faced by artists, creatives, and non-profit arts organizations, particularly those arising from a lack of structured support and legal representation. The lively discussion ultimately led to a productive brainstorming session on how lawyers can provide pro bono assistance and facilitation in this space.

We are grateful to WMA, Rooftop Institute, and DLA Piper for the engaging discussions, inspiring more legal professionals to contribute their time and skills for Hong Kong’s artistic community!
