On 16 September 2026, PILnet hosted the Opening Event of the sixth round of our Public Interest Law Mentorship Program.
The event began with welcoming remarks from PILnet’s Ian Lee and Ashlynn Ong, followed by a quick round of introductions where mentors and mentees got to know each other and break the ice. Following an overview of the Mentorship Program and practical advice on making the most of the experience, participants took part in a speed-networking session. Rotating between tables, they made meaningful in-person connections before submitting their pairing preferences.
We trust that this round of the Mentorship Program will provide invaluable experiences for both mentors and mentees, enabling the next generation of public interest professionals to explore pro bono opportunities with guidance from their mentors.

We are grateful for the support from all our mentors and mentees, and look forward to what the rest of the program brings.
