On 18 July 2024, we celebrated the start of the third round of our Public Interest Law Mentorship Program in Hong Kong with an Opening Event.

The event began with a warm welcome from Julia Mayerhofer, PILnet’s Co-Executive Director, followed by an ice-breaking activity where mentors and mentees got to know each other better. Jonathan Davis, PILnet’s Program Director: Asia, then gave an overview of the program, as well as some tips for mentees to make the most of their mentorship experience. For the remainder of the event, participants continued networking and sharing their insights on pro bono lawyering.

We trust that the Mentorship Program will be a valuable experience for both mentors and mentees, helping to nurture the next generation of public interest lawyers. We are grateful for the support of all our mentors and mentees, and look forward to the program’s upcoming events!
