PILnet is fighting trafficking in persons through developing the legal capacity of lawyers in Thailand and strengthening civil society organizations by connecting them to pro bono help. PILnet held a two-day event in Bangkok, the PILnet Anti-trafficking in Persons (ATIP) Workshop Series and the first ATIP Roundtable in Thailand. This workshop educated lawyers on how they can support ATIP organizations, with guest-speaker Dornnapha Sukkree, Esq, Country Lead of Liberty Shared’s Legal Impact Hub for Thailand, discussing the international, regional, and local legal framework as well as the victim identification process. The roundtable provided a space where lawyers and ATIP NGOs could find ways to collaborate and build relationships with one another.
