Cherry Ng is a Program Officer based in Hong Kong with her work focusing primarily on the Asia Clearinghouse. Prior to joining PILnet, she worked at a law firm as a trainee solicitor, and later as a research assistant at the Faculty of Law of the University of Hong Kong. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from Durham University, and a Master of Laws and a Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the City University of Hong Kong. She takes great professional interest in the intersection of the law with women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights, and has volunteered extensively in these disciplines.
