Barbara Oliveira

Barbara is a legal expert and mediator with experience in company community conflicts, and strategic legal action to protect the climate, biodiversity and communities who depend on a healthy environment to thrive. Barbara worked with local and international NGOs,  public institutions (on climate policy), UN agencies and multilateral development banks, and has supported more than 2500 leading organizations and leaders in cracking wicked problems and devising collaborative solutions on themes of sustainable development, supply chains, biodiversity, climate change, energy transitions, human organizations, globally. Barbara holds a BA in Laws, and LLM and PhD in International Dispute Settlement and an MBA in Responsible Leadership. At FILE, the Foundation for the International Law for the Environment, she leads the work on strategic legal action on land use, with a focus on Brazil, Congo and Indonesia.
