Edigah Kavuravu is a passionate human rights advocate, litigator, and dynamic thinker with extensive experience in research, networking, and strategic leadership. A trained lawyer and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, Edigah dedicates his career to addressing pressing human rights and justice challenges across Africa through the power of the law. He is a member of the Law Society of Kenya and has over 11 years of legal experience, with a strong track record of working at the intersection of law, policy, and development. Currently, Edigah serves as Senior Manager for Africa Pro Bono Services at the Center for Reproductive Rights, where he is responsible for conceptualizing and implementing a strategic pro bono agenda to expand and deepen the Center’s legal network across the continent. He joined the Center in September 2022. Before this, Edigah was the Legal Practice Manager at Justice Defenders, where he led a legal services program for prisoners and pioneered a Pro Bono Advocates Program. He also served as Program Manager for the International Justice Program at the Kenyan Section of the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ Kenya), where he oversaw litigation and advocacy on international justice. Edigah began his human rights career at Kituo Cha Sheria, working on the Peace, Justice, and Reconciliation Program. With a strong presence in national, regional, and international forums, Edigah regularly participates in conferences and contributes to policy discussions on pro bono practice, access to justice, rule of law, good governance, impact litigation, and international criminal justice reform. He has also published scholarly articles and contributed to legal magazines.
