Erika Schmidhuber Peña estudió Relaciones Internacionales y Derecho en el Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) en Guadalajara, México. Tiene una maestría en Derecho Internacional de los Derechos Humanos en la Universidad de Buenos Aires. Desde 2012 trabaja en el Centro de Estudios Legales y Sociales (CELS) litigando casos de violaciones a derechos humanos ante el Sistema Interamericano de Derechos Humanos y ante Naciones Unidas. Ha sido profesora en la Facultad de Derecho en la Universidad de Buenos Aires, y ha impartido cursos sobre derecho internacional de los derechos humanos a nivel universitario y posgrado en México y Argentina. Anteriormente, fue abogada especialista en la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos.
Erika Schmidhuber Peña studied International Relations and Law at Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Occidente (ITESO) in Guadalajara, Mexico. She holds a master's degree in International Human Rights Law from Universidad de Buenos Aires. Since 2012 she has worked at the Center for Legal and Social Studies (CELS) litigating cases of human rights violations before the Inter-American Human Rights System and the United Nations. She has been a professor at Universidad de Buenos Aires’ Law School, and has taught courses on international human rights law at the graduate and postgraduate level in Mexico and Argentina. Previously, she was a specialist lawyer at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
