Georgina Beasley, MA, LLB (honours) is the CEO of the Net Zero Lawyers Alliance, leading its efforts to ensure the law creates the enabling environment for the transition to net zero emissions. Georgina started her career in Aotearoa, New Zealand, as a environment, planning and natural resources lawyer before moving into government where she worked as UNFCCC negotiator, and later in Parliament for the Minister of Climate Change. Georgina moved to the UK in 2018 where she continued to work for the New Zealand Government. She later joined the UK Committee on Climate Change to work on their first Net Zero Report. Georgina is driven by connection and community, and believes both are critical to solving the climate crisis.
