Giovanni Carotenuto is the President of Pro Bono Italia. Since 2014, he has been organising the periodic Italian Pro Bono Roundtables and has promoted the creation of the association in May 2017, as well as of the clearinghouse in January 2022. He represents them at national and international events on pro bono, human rights and civil liberties related matters. Qualified before the Court of Cassation, he has been practising the law for over twenty-five years, mainly in the areas of corporate/M&A, banking & financial regulation, (and Fintech), and finance litigation. He holds an LL.M. (with merit) from Queen Mary College, University of London, and is a member of the International Bar Association, Milan Fintech District, as well as of the Alumni Association of Simpson Thacher, New York
