Giovanni Carotenuto is the Chairman of Pro Bono Italia. Since the spring of 2014, he has been promoting and organising the meetings of the Italian Pro Bono Roundtable, and has inspired the establishment of Pro Bono Italia in May 2017. He regularly represents the association at national and international events related to pro bono, human rights and civil liberties. Admitted to plead before the Italian Supreme Court, Giovanni has practised the law for more than two decades, focusing on banking and financial services regulation, corporate/M&A, capital markets, and related litigation matters. Giovanni holds an LL.M. from Queen Mary College, University of London, and is a member of the International Bar Association, the Alumni Association of Simpson Thacher and Bartlett LLP and the Italian Bar (Rome).
