Irene So
Irene So has more than 25 years of experiences in leading strategic initiatives for various social and philanthropic organizations in Hong Kong, China and Asia.
Prior to joining ZeShan Foundation as Executive Director, she was the Program Manager at Porticus leading regional programs to address human trafficking, migration and refugee issues in Southeast Asia. She also served at Oxfam Hong Kong, Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, Senior Citizen Home Safety Association and Hong Kong Arts Centre. As formerly a sponsored child and a journalist at Radio Television Hong Kong and South China Morning Post, she always reflects on what works better for marginalized and underprivileged people in our society.
Irene holds a master degree in business administration and a bachelor degree in journalism and communication, with formal training in change management, organizational development, social development, international migration laws and impact evaluation.
