Irma van den Berg is president of the board of Lawyers for Lawyers (L4L). L4L is a Dutch ngo that supports lawyers at risk worldwide and advocates for the independence of the legal profession, in order to enable lawyers to uphold the rule of law and protect human rights. Apart from her work on the board, Irma participates in trial monitoring missions in Turkey and has contributed to trainings on international mechanisms for lawyers from East Africa. Irma also is a practicing lawyer in Amsterdam, specialized in public law.
