Speaker: Covid-19 and Legal Responses, October 21 Ms. Isabelle Granger joined the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies as Global Coordinator for Legislative Advocacy in January 2017. In her current capacity, she directs the global IFRC Disaster Law Programme and supports the development of legislative advocacy initiatives by the IFRC network. Previously, Ms Granger served as IFRC Disaster Law Programme Coordinator for the Americas (2009-2016), and as IFRC Senior Legal Advisor to the Tsunami Operation in South-East Asia (2005-2009). Her experience includes providing legal advice to major IFRC's disaster response operations including the Indian Ocean tsunami of 2004, the Haiti Earthquake of 2010, and the current COVID19 pandemic. Ms Granger earned her graduate degree in Civil Law from the University of Montreal in 1999, her Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2001, with distinction in all subjects, and her Master Degree in Business Administration from HEC Montreal in 2003. She is a registered lawyer at the Quebec Bar in Canada since 2001.
