Jaime Chavez-Alor serves as the Latin America Policy Director at the Cyrus R. Vance Center for International Justice, a program of the New York City Bar Association. Jaime coordinates the Pro Bono Network of the Americas and spearheads initiatives on judicial independence, anti-corruption, and civic space. Prior to joining the Vance Center, Jaime held prominent positions within the Mexican federal government, including head of the Ethics and Conflict of Interest Prevention Unit at the Ministry of Public Administration and head of the Office of International Affairs and Attachés at the Attorney General's Office. He also served as an advisor to the Mexican Senate and the Chief Justice. Jaime holds a Law degree from Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and an LL.M from Columbia University.
