Karen Oliquino-Navera is the Head of Protective Care Unit. She is a Registered Social Worker specializing in trauma informed care, trauma tapping technique, movement and art therapy. She has wide experience in casework and group work settings, with strong background in counseling and direct practice with children victims of abuse. Skilled in needs assessment, referrals, monitoring and evaluation of child abuse cases and family in need of protection.
She has a seat in an inter-government councils - Regional Inter-agency Council Against Trafficking - Violence Against Women (RIACAT-VAWC) headed by Department of Justice. She is also a resource person of DSWD in Area Based Standard Network of NGO's. She graduated BS Social Work from Bicol University and has been with VF for 16 years.
