Lauren Regan is the founder, director and senior staff attorney at the Civil Liberties Defense Center, and has specialized in civil rights, activist criminal defense, and environmental, climate, and animal rights law for the last 23 years. Regan's unique work serves to highlight and strengthen the necessity for cross-movement organizing to save the planet and reduce the suffering of all living things. She currently provides legal and strategic organizing assistance and activist defense to climate and social justice movements around the country. She defends activists and organizations targeted by SLAPP suits and other forms of State repression, police misconduct litigation, 'know your rights' trainings, and anti-repression trainings, as well as legal observing and cop-watching coordination.
