Lisa Frydman

Moderator: How Pro Bono Lawyers Can Help Unaccompanied and Undocumented Children in Europe Gain Safety and Stability, October 20 Lisa Frydman is an international human rights lawyer and expert on child migration. Vice President for International Programs at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), she leads KIND's work in Central America, Mexico, and Europe to ensure that children's rights and well-being are protected as they migrate alone in search of safety. For two decades Lisa has worked to advance law and policy for refugee and immigrant children through direct representation, impact litigation, policy advocacy, training and mentoring of attorneys, training of judges, and research and publication of numerous articles on child migration and refugee protection. She began her career representing children in immigration and child welfare proceedings. Lisa graduated U.C. Berkeley School of Law with honors.
