Milly Thomas

Milly Thomas leads DLA Piper’s climate pro bono practice. Her work addresses the negative impacts of climate change and biodiversity loss, and includes national, regional and international projects focused on climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience. She supports charities, non-profit organisations, developing countries and UN agencies to implement programs that build capacity and increase access to justice for those most impacted by climate change. Milly’s recent work includes the co-authoring of a model bill on carbon taxation which was launched at COP28 and representing a small island developing State before the International Court of Justice in its advisory opinion on climate change.
