Omolara Balogun

Omolara Balogun is an experienced international development practitioner with 20 years in non-profit leadership and social change programming across Sub-Saharan Africa. She is a civil society specialist and advocacy strategist with a strong focus on democracy, governance, gender equality, social inclusion, decolonisation, open civic space, and enhancing the resilience of civil society. She leads the Policy Influencing and Advocacy Unit, as well as the Nigeria Office (WACSI-Node) of the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI). In these roles, she oversees the institute's strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening civil society capacity and promoting social justice within a vibrant and resilient civic ecosystem in West Africa.
