Rachael Ampaire Mishambi

Speaker: Rethinking Technology, Pro Bono, and Access to Justice, October 20 Rachael Ampaire Mishambi holds an LLB and has undertaken training in Business, Leadership, Women, Gender and Human rights. She is the Programme Manager at The Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL) in Uganda. She has been able to explore how to bring innovative solutions to the center stage to advocate for people centered and user-friendly justice. She works closely with justice leaders, professionals and innovators to ensure evidence based working. She is driven by the development of strategies and solutions, which resolve people's most pressing justice needs especially the vulnerable in society. Previously, she worked at FIDA-Uganda, with the Access to Justice Team that empowered women, girls and those living with HIV/AIDS in the Karamoja and Central regions, through the creation of rights awareness, streamlining of referral mechanisms and economic-independence training.
