Salah Jawish is a Legal Fellow with PILnet based in Cairo, Egypt. Salah is originally from Sudan and has been living in Egypt for ten years. Salah supports PILnet to promote meaningful refugee participation within the legal community and to engage private and public legal actors to include refugees in all core aspects of legal assistance delivery. Prior to joining PILnet, Salah led the legal support program at Tafawol, a Refugee-led Organization (RLO) in Cairo, working to provide legal advocacy and protection for refugees and vulnerable migrants across Greater Cairo. Salah is a member of the United Refugee Network (URN) which is a 13-member network of RLO across Cairo who work collaboratively to provide advocacy and direct assistance to refugees and asylum seekers. He has also contributed to four refugee research projects led by the Center for Migration and Refugee studies (CMRS) at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
