Szilvia Gyurkó is a freelance child rights adviser and researcher. She graduated from ELTE Budapest with Msc. in Law in 2002 and studied children's rights at Columbia University New York in 2007, Geneva University in 2018 and Harvard University in 2020. After graduation, she worked at National Institute of Criminology (2005-2012) as criminologist and then she was the advocacy director of UNICEF Hungarian NatCom (2012-2014). In 2015, she wrote a best-selling book about child rights and divorce. She publishes child rights related articles in online and print media; furthermore, she develops and conducts training and research projects in several European countries. Currently she runs the Hintalovon Foundation that develops child rights, child participation and child safeguarding programs.
