Tamar (Tata) Beria is Program Manager for Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Russia at International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR). She joined IPHR in 2019 as Director of its Georgia branch and now leads regional programs on accountability, protection, capacity building, democracy, and the rule of law. She also leads initiatives supporting human rights defenders in exile and relocation, including research and residency programs for defenders at risk. Tamar holds degrees in law, human rights, gender studies, cultural anthropology and development studies. Prior to joining IPHR, she worked with international and grassroots youth, feminist, human rights, and LGBTQI+ organisations across Georgia, the United Kingdom, Poland, and China.
