Veronika Pišorn is the current head of Pro Bono Connect, the Netherlands’ pro bono clearinghouse and a project of the Dutch Committee of Human Rights Jurists (NJCM). With more than 10 years' experience in the non-profit sector, she began her career as a socio-legal advisor to undocumented migrants, refugees and victims of trafficking. She has led and participated in a number of European projects, bringing NGOs, policymakers, legal and justice professionals together for increased access to justice and human rights protections. Her work continues to be informed by the experience of these initiatives and the communities they serve with the law. She feels lucky that her daily to-do's include facilitating connections and creating opportunities for pro bono lawyers to support civil society.
