Yuvraj Rathore
Yuvraj Rathore is the Senior Program Officer with the Forced Displacement team at PILnet. He leads PILnet’s forced displacement initiatives across Asia, including through partnerships with the Asia Pacific Network of Refugees (APNOR) and support for the Global Refugee Forum (GRF) Legal Community Pledge to expand legal support for displaced communities.
A lawyer from India, Yuvraj brings nearly a decade of experience in refugee protection, international human rights, and access to justice across the Asia-Pacific. Before joining PILnet, he served as Programme Manager with Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, where he led survivor-centred justice and accountability initiatives related to atrocities committed against the Rohingya and other ethnic minorities in Myanmar. His work included managing cross-border programmes, engaging with international justice mechanisms, and supporting advocacy efforts to advance accountability for international crimes and serious human rights violations.
Previously, he worked with the Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network (APRRN), the Migration and Asylum Project (MAP), the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), and UNHCR in India and Malaysia. Across these roles, he provided legal aid and protection support to refugees and asylum seekers and coordinated regional advocacy initiatives, strategic litigation, and capacity-building programmes.
