Following the success of our European banking guides, which were prepared in partnership with the European Center for Not-for-Profit Law (ECNL), PILnet is pleased to launch a parallel set of guides on banking conditions for the Asia-Pacific region. These guides aim to support CSOs that wish to open a bank account in certain countries or compare conditions between countries. Please find the published guides below, with additional jurisdictions to be added in due course.

How to Open and Manage a Bank Account
Civil society organizations (CSOs) have increasingly reported challenges with opening bank accounts and transferring funds as banks implement measures in compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism rules.
These guides aim to support CSOs that wish to open a bank account in certain countries or compare conditions between these countries. The countries and issues in these guides have been selected based on requests by national and international partners. New guides will be uploaded on a rolling basis.
