This introductory manual aims to provide an overview of the European Union’s values, key institutions and mechanisms to NGOs that seek guidance on the subject.
The content of this manual was developed with the pro bono support of lawyers at Latham & Watkins and White & Case, in line with the legal sessions delivered during the MARIO Central Training, in March 2023.
The MARIO Project, supported by PILnet and Minority Rights Group Europe (MRGE), builds a supportive environment for grassroots Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) working in the space of minority rights in the framework of the promotion and protection of EU values across Bulgaria, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Latvia, Czech, Estonia, Lithuania, Romania and Slovenia. One of the objectives of MARIO is to build the legal capacity of grassroots CSOs representing minority groups.
MARIO is funded by the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values Programme (2021-2027) of the European Union (ref: 101091387)
