On 10 October 2024, we successfully held a Sharing Event for participants of the third round of our Public Interest Law Mentorship Program. The event featured a discussion with Mr. Azan Marwah barrister and chairman of the Hong Kong Committee on Children’s Rights followed by a Q&A session and a networking session.

Mr. Azan Marwah shared his experience of working on child abuse cases in Hong Kong, discussed the impact of recent changes in child protection law, and explained how lawyers can get involved in child protection efforts on a pro bono basis.

After a Q&A session, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to network with their fellow mentors and mentees, exchanging further insights on how they could contribute to child protection and other pro bono efforts in Hong Kong.

We are grateful to Mayer Brown JSM for kindly hosting the event, to Mr. Azan Marwah for dedicating time to educate and inspire our future public interest professionals, and to all our mentors and mentees for their continued commitment to public interest law.
