Join us in Frankfurt, Germany at the JW Marriott Frankfurt, on March 24 for the PILnet European Convening, a full day of thoughtful conversations on how to strengthen pro bono in Europe. We’ll explore new opportunities presented by the recently published EU Strategy for Civil Society, which positions pro bono legal assistance as a core driver of a resilient, thriving civic sector across the continent, and thematic sessions will delve into several key topics emerging in pro bono work in Europe.
The registration deadline is March 17, 2026
Sessions will explore:
- Strengthening pro bono in Europe: The EU Civil Society Strategy, protecting civil society organizations in Europe, and pro bono in Germany
- Protection of human rights defenders and civic space in Europe
- Civil society organizations on the move
- Leveraging pro bono in the context of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum
- Building a pledge against SLAPPs in Europe
- Climate, environment, and ESG

Ahead of the main program on March 24th, participants will be invited to join sector-specific side meetings on the afternoon of March 23rd, creating space for focused discussion and connections.
At PILnet, we are committed to facilitating the participation of non-profit organizations at our convenings. The expert contributions of NGOs and other grassroots groups are essential to our community.
Our convenings are revenue neutral events, and thanks to the generosity of our donors, we are able to offer a significantly discounted registration price to NGOs. (See registration form). However, if you are a representative of a non-profit organization requiring a full registration fee waiver in order to be able to attend the 2026 European Convening, please fill out this form as soon as possible. As our resources are limited, we will not be able to accommodate every request.
