Join PILnet and the Public Interest Law Partnership (PILP) in Lagos, Nigeria September 24-25 for the first Regional Convening on Pro Bono and Public Interest Lawyering in Africa—a gathering to spark collaboration between the legal profession and civil society across the continent!

This event will unite leading law firms, in-house counsel, civil society organizations, academics, and legal thought leaders for a focused dialogue on the role of pro bono legal services in addressing the region’s most pressing legal needs. Discussions will center on practical challenges, emerging opportunities, and innovative, locally driven solutions to strengthen pro bono ecosystems and build sustainable support for civil society resilience.

The convening will be launched during PILP’s Pro Bono Week Stakeholder Conference and will feature jointly organized insightful panel discussions, interactive workshops, and curated networking sessions—all designed to strengthen the ecosystem for pro bono and public interest lawyering in West Africa and beyond.
