The Climate Action Portal follows the success of the Australian Pro Bono Centre’s 2020 Pro Bono Guide to the Climate Crisis. The Guide describes 15 different ways that lawyers can dedicate their expertise, experience, and resources through pro bono work to help tackle the climate crisis with compelling case studies from around the world. The Portal builds on the Guide, by featuring a regularly updated and evolving range of case studies from a larger number of countries to inspire and inform the global legal profession.
We are hoping that the Portal serves as an inspiration both to lawyers who want to dedicate their expertise, experience, and resources to tackle the climate crisis, but aren’t sure where to start, as well as to NGOs working on climate change to get ideas on how lawyers can help.
