Key Elements

Mentorship: Each student participant will be paired with one lawyer (solicitor, barrister or in-house counsel). Finalists will also receive mentorships from professionals from other disciplines. 

Coaching on project design and development: PILnet will host workshops for students on topics such as problem analysis, project design and development and presentation.

NGO partnership: Students will have the opportunity to partner with a non-governmental organization or a social enterprise to implement their projects. 

Seed grants: Each of the six finalist teams will receive HKD10,000 for the prototype and each of the three winning teams will receive HKD50,000 for the implementation of their project.

Opportunity to present the projects to local and/or regional networks: Participants will have an opportunity to present their projects to local and/or regional pro bono networks.

Community of like-minded students: There will be networking opportunities with other student participants and past winning teams.
